Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez believes Ferrie Bodde would turn down a move to the Premier League if a top-flight club came knocking.
Earlier in the week, the Dutch midfielder's agent claimed his client had a 'gentleman's agreement' in place to move on should he be targeted by a leading club.
However, Martinez believes the 26-year-old is keen to stay at the Liberty Stadium.
"When the situation arises, we will have to consider it but I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes in for Ferrie and he turns them down," said the Spanish coach.
"He is happy here, is enjoying his football and is he is developing."
