Swans lose injured Painter

Swansea City will be without Marcos Painter for around three weeks after the left-back suffered a hamstring injury.

Painter picked up the problem during Monday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to MK Dons.

"The injury is largely down to the huge number of games we've had to play in recent weeks,'' physio Richie Evans told the club's official website.

"There are some tired bodies in the squad."

The absence of Painter, plus a doubt over the fitness of fellow defender Dennis Lawrence for Saturday's trip to Huddersfield Town, could force Swans boss Roberto Martinez into the loan market.
