Swans land keeper Krysiak
23 Sep 2008 - 13:23:11
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has ended his search for a back-up goalkeeper to first-choice shot-stopper Dorus de Vries by bringing Birmingham City teenager Artur Krysiak to the Liberty Stadium on a three-month loan deal.
Dutchman de Vries has been the only senior keeper on the Swans' books in the opening six weeks of the campaign.
"We have been following Artur's progress for some time now,'' Martinez told the club's official website.
"He is mature well beyond his 19 years and I am convinced he is a future Poland international at senior level.
"From what we've seen of him already, he will provide added competition for Dorus and we are all excited about him joining us.''
Krysiak made four appearances during a loan spell at Gretna last season and started the current campaign with York City.
However, he was forced to return to St Andrew's early after dislocating his finger during the Minstermen's victory against Wrexham.
