Swansea City have the option to sign loanee Warren Feeney on a permanent basis after agreeing a fee with Cardiff City for the former Bournemouth striker.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international has enjoyed a successful first month at the Liberty Stadium scoring four goals in seven appearances for the Swans.

"We talked through a permanent move with Cardiff before we signed Warren," confirmed chairman Huw Jenkins.

"We've got an agreement with Cardiff to take things forward if we want to. A fee is agreed and that option is there for us.

"It's going to be down to Warren and Roberto (Martinez) to decide what happens.

"These things are never easy, but we've done all we can do on it for now and it's a case of waiting and seeing where we are at the end of December.

"Roberto and Warren will have to sit down and talk things through then. Warren is definitely with us until January 1 and we hope he continues enjoying his football and playing as he is."
