Swans finally land Duffy

Swansea City have finally completed the signing of striker Darryl Duffy from Hull City.

Duffy, 23, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at The Liberty Stadium to bring to an end a near three-month transfer saga.

The two clubs finally ended weeks of wrangling after agreeing on a fee of £200,000 - rising to £300,000 depending on appearances - for a player who spent two months on loan with the Swans last season.

"I'm absolutely delighted it's finally completed,'' Duffy told the club's official website.

"It's certainly dragged on, nine weeks in fact.

"There were stages when I thought the move was dead and buried and then I'd be given renewed hope that it was back on again."
