Swans fail to keep Dimi

Goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos has returned to Coventry City after Swansea City failed in their bid to keep the Greek at the Liberty Stadium. The Swans had hoped to extend the shot-stopper's one-month loan deal until the end of the season. However, Monday's inclement weather led to the former Hartlepool United keeper getting stuck in traffic and he arrived at the Sky Blues' Ricoh Arena after the 5pm deadline to sign the required forms. Both clubs wrote to the Football League to ask for special dispensation due to the adverse weather conditions, but their appeal was refused.
