Swans close on Spanish duo

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez hopes to sign Spanish duo Gorka Pintado and Jordi Gomez before the start of next season.

However, the Swans have refuted reports in Spain suggesting the transfers have already been finalised.

"Roberto is currently out in Spain speaking to a number of players,'' chairman Huw Jenkins told the club's official website.

"As usual, he's working tirelessly and Gorka and Jordi are both high on his list of targets.

"We're in discussions with both players, but I must reiterate that we've not signed either player at present.''

Striker Pintado currently plays for Segunda B side Granada, while Gomez is discussing a one-year loan switch from Espanyol.
