Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has vowed to rebuild the club in the summer after missing out on a place in the end-of-season play-offs.
The Swans missed out following Saturday's 6-3 defeat by Blackpool at the Liberty Stadium and Martinez - who replaced former boss Kenny Jackett in February - is keen to make his mark on the playing squad during his first summer at the helm of the League One club.
"Eight players are out of contract and two on loan, that's not right at a club of this calibre," he said.
"It's a situation I've inherited and want to change and by early this week we'll know our retain list.
"There are many departments we have to improve, that's always the way, and I've got a clear idea of what we need."
