Rangel seeks top-flight move

Swansea City right-back Angel Rangel remains determined to leave the Liberty Stadium to join Premier League newcomers Blackpool this summer.

An initial bid for the 27-year-old Spaniard has been rejected by the Swans, but Rangel's agent Xavi Cruz has confirmed that his client is eager for a fresh challenge.

He told the South Wales Evening Post: "It is the chance for Angel to fulfil his dream, which is to play in the Premier League.

"We have been talking with the chairman during the last week and he understands the situation, because this is not the first time that Angel has had the chance to play in the Premier League.

"We trust the chairman and he said he would do the best for the club and the player. To play in the Premier League is the dream of Angel's life."
