Rangel ready for challenge

Swansea City full-back Angel Zaragoza Rangel has admitted that the fixture congestion over Christmas shocked him but he is committed to the Swans' festive cause.

After they saw off Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, they now have games against Reading and Crystal Palace over the next six days to look forward to as they aim to cement their play-off credentials.

He will have a little time to spend with his family, who will travel from his native Spain, and watch him in action.

Speaking to the South Wales Evening Post, he said: "In Spain, footballers have two weeks off over Christmas, so it was a shock when I first came over.

"You have to get used to playing so many games, but I am ready for it now and I think we are all happy if we are playing football.

"My family are coming over from Spain - my parents and my sisters. It will be nice to see them for one day and also for them to watch some of my games."
