Martinez targets Dyer deal

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that he would like to keep loan star Nathan Dyer at the club on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old winger has scored once in four appearances for the Swans since his arrival from Southampton and has created a good impression with Martinez.

He told the club's official website: "We would like to keep Nathan permanently, but it's not down to us. Any deal depends on the parent club and the player's wishes.

"We spoke to Southampton when Nathan joined us on loan about a permanent deal, but we'll have to wait and see.

"At the moment he is definitely with us until the end of the season, so there is no pressure to do anything in this transfer window."
