Emotional Bodde thanks fans

Injury-hit midfielder Ferrie Bodde has spoken of the support given from Swansea City fans since learning that he will be out for the season with a damaged replacement knee ligament.

After ten months out last season the 27-year-old faces the prospect of missing the best part of two years with the same injury, after playing just 29 minutes of football this term before snapping the repaired ligament.

"Everyone has been wishing me a speedy recovery - and I aim to give them exactly that,'' the Dutchman said, adding: "I wish I could thank them all individually."

"I feel positive. The knee already feels better than when I first damaged my cruciate last year.

"I couldn't walk at this stage last year, but I've already got a lot of movement in my knee and I can walk freely.''
