Dyer pleased with Swans loan

Winger Nathan Dyer is relishing the chance to impress at Swansea City, having moved to South Wales on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old Southampton wideman spent the last three months with Sheffield United, but struggled to make an impact at Bramall Lane and is now hoping to impress with the Swans.

He told the South Wales Daily Post: "Swansea were keen to get me as soon as possible and when a club comes for you straight away, you know that's probably the club you should go to.

"I want to get games, score a couple of goals and, hopefully, go from there and we'll see what happens at the end of the season.

"I'm at an age where I need to play. I've played a lot of games in the Championship, so I know what it's all about, I just need to be playing regularly.

"But I'm not expecting to walk into the side at all. I'm going to train hard and earn my place."
