Donnelly agrees Swans switch

Swansea City have won the race to sign Aldershot Town midfielder Scott Donnelly.

The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium, with the Shots receiving compensation for their player as he is under the age of 24 and had been offered a new deal.

Donnelly told his new club's official website: "I had a few offers on the table, but as soon as Swansea came calling I didn't have to think twice about it.

"Swansea are a top Championship club with a top manager and, from what I've seen, they play some of the best football outside the Premier League.

"I believe I am capable of doing well in the Championship and I'm really looking forward to the challenge."
