Britton upset with Sousa comments

Manager Paulo Sousa said last week that the 27-year-old had yet to sign a new deal that would make him one of the best paid players in Swansea's history. But Britton, who is out of contract in the summer, is unhappy that his situation has been brought to light. "I am surprised and disappointed the nature of my contract talks have been made public," he said. "My advisor has been talking with the club since mid-September in what have been amicable and productive discussions. "At the last round of talks it was agreed all further discussions be postponed until the end of the season so I can focus on my performances for the club." Britton has made 317 appearances for Swansea since joining from West Ham seven years ago.
