Britton happy to postpone talks

Content midfielder Leon Britton is in no rush to pen a new contract with Swansea City.

Britton knows that new boss Paulo Sousa has more pressing matters to think about at the moment and is prepared to wait before opening discussions as his current deal is not due to run out until the end of next season.

Garry Monk and Alan Tate are also in the final 12 months of their Liberty Stadium contracts but Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has hinted that talks about new deals will be postponed until October.

Britton is happy with that state of affairs, saying: "I think that's the right approach."
