Bodde impasse to be resolved

Swansea City have promised that the future of Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde will be sorted out by the end of this week.

Bodde, who has spoken of his desire to leave the Liberty Stadium this summer, has been linked with a host of clubs and Derby County have had two offers, the second believed to be in the region of £1.5milion, rejected by the Swans.

Chairman Huw Jenkins admitted: "This situation needs to be resolved sooner rather than later.

"It's not doing anyone any good - the club, the player or the supporters. It's a distraction that we really don't need at the moment.

"We'll be talking it through in quite a bit of detail in the next day or so.

"The supporters pay their hard-earned money to watch this club and they keep everyone in their job.

"They need to be treated with a bit more respect and need to know for sure what's happening with their players."
