Swansea City manager Paulo Sousa is ready to welcome long-term injury victim Ferrie Bodde back to action in the near future.
The creative Dutch midfielder is pencilled in to play in a reserve team fixture this week after a lay-off stretching back to November 2008 when he suffered cruciate ligament damage.
And Bodde, who was linked with a move to Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic in the summer, insists he is ready to return to the first-team fold at the Liberty Stadium.
"I'm feeling really good at the moment," he told the club's official website. "I have been training for the last three weeks so I'll hopefully get some action for the reserves in midweek.
"It will feel good to play football again and hopefully I'm not too far from a first-team return."
The 27-year-old netted seven goals in the early part of the 2008-09 season before suffering the knee injury in a fixture with Birmingham City.
