Former Netherlands Under-21 international midfielder Kemy Agustien has signed a two-year contract with Swansea City after spending the last month at the Liberty Stadium attempting to prove his fitness.
Free agent Agustien finally put pen to paper after impressing on the Swans' pre-season tour of Holland. He was on the verge of signing for the Championship side in the summer before picking up a knee ligament injury in the final friendly against ADO Den Haag.
The 24-year-old said after agreeing the contract: "It's nice to finally get everything agreed. I'm so excited about it.
"Swansea made a big impression on me out in Holland and I had a great week with the lads. I've played for quite a few teams so far in my career, but I've never felt as welcome at a club as I did when I joined up with Swansea out in Holland.
"I've never been treated so well by a squad of players. It was a bit of a shock. In fact, I'm still in shock. There are no big time players here, everyone is treated the same and behaves the same. They're a great bunch and they've given me a great welcome. Now I just can't wait to get started again.''
