Williams settled in Wales
Highly-rated Swansea defender Ashley Williams insists he is happy at Swansea and focused on helping the club realise their promotion ambitions following deadline-day interest in his services.
The Wales centre-back was the subject of a failed bid from Leicester while Celtic were also rumoured to be on his trail, with Swans chairman Huw Jenkins insisting the 26-year-old is not for sale.
And while Williams admits he was flattered with the attention, he told the South Wales Evening Post: "I wouldn't say I was disappointed nothing happened on deadline day.
"I just left it to the club - whatever they said was going to happen to me, that's what I was going to be doing. I didn't really worry about it too much. I wasn't going to make any noise about going - I was not too fussed.
"People don't realise that sometimes clubs are happy with what they are offered and then you have to go, but I'm happy with the way we've started the season and I'm happy to be here.
"My aim is to get into the Premier League and, as of yet, no Premier League team has made a bid for me. There has only been speculation, so all I can do is concentrate on Swansea. I'm happy doing that because I like the way things are going here. With the players we have signed and the players we have been linked with, everything looks to be on the up."
