Utrecht case over Michel Vorm sale from Swansea to Tottenham set for CAS hearing

Swansea's sale of Michel Vorm to Tottenham will be the subject of a hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Friday .

Utrecht are taking action because they say they are owed a sell-on fee for a goalkeeper they sold to Swansea for £1.5million in 2011.

Utrecht insist they are owed 30 per cent of whatever Swansea received for Vorm in July 2014, citing a sell-on clause in the deal when the player arrived in Wales from Holland three years earlier.

Vorm, now 32, left Swansea on the same day as defender Ben Davies, with forward Gylfi Sigurdsson going the other way.

Utrecht have questioned why Vorm, a Holland international with two years on his contract at the time, was given a zero value in the transactions.

The Dutch Eredivisie outfit have previously had their case dismissed by world football's governing body FIFA.
