Trundle eyes Beattie partnership

The 32-year-old striker, who enjoyed a highly-successful spell with the Swans between 2003 and 2007, has returned to the club on loan after falling out of favour at Bristol City. And after linking up with fellow newboy Craig Beattie in Saturday's draw with Watford, Trundle is predicting a bright future ahead for the pair and the team. "It's about understanding - I only trained on Friday with the squad. The more you play with each other the more you learn, so hopefully we can build," he told the Swansea Evening Post. "As Beatts said, it was nice when I came on to give him a bit of a break because he was doing all the running on his own. "Craig's a good centre-forward. He's a clever player who makes clever runs, so once you get on the ball in forward areas he'll be easy to find. Hopefully we can get going and strike up a bit of a partnership."
