Tate impressed by Sousa style
Sousa joined the club after Roberto Martinez's shock decision to leave Wigan and was soon followed by a number of key players and staff.
"To be fair to the new manager, I think he has had probably the most impossible start you could ever wish for if you're a manager," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"He has had his dramas with Jason (Scotland) and things with Ferrie (Bodde).
"He has had to rebuild the club really but he's been doing all right.
"It's going to take time to complete the job, but I think he's been at big enough clubs during his playing career to know what's required."
