Tate aiming for derby start

The 26-year-old defender is rated as 50-50 for the clash at Ninian Park but accepts that if he does feature he won't be a popular figure amongst the Cardiff supporters. After the Johnstone's Paint Final in 2006 Tate, along with then team-mate Lee Trundle, was pictured holding aloft a Welsh flag with anti-Cardiff messages written on it, but he insists he has put that incident behind him. "I think I might get some abuse if I play, but in a perfect world I will be fit," Tate told the Swansea Evening Post. "The stick will not bother me. I think it comes with being a Swansea player in Cardiff and what happened a few years ago is probably going to add to it. "That's something which has gone now, it's in the past, and I think every one of us will get some stick when we play Cardiff anyway."
