Jefferson Montero sidelined as Swansea take on Bournemouth
Jefferson Montero is ruled out of Swansea's Premier League home game against Bournemouth and faces a month on the sidelines with a hamstring strain.
The Ecuador winger was carried off in the 4-1 Boxing Day defeat to West Ham which marked the end of Bob Bradley's short-lived reign.
Apart from Montero, caretaker boss Alan Curtis has a full squad to choose from with Wales defender Neil Taylor having recovered from the groin injury which forced him to sit out the Hammers game.
Curtis takes over from Bradley with Swansea 19th in the Premier League and four points from safety.
He said: "When you look at the squad we've got good players - World Cup winners, internationals and boys who have played in the league a long time.
"So I hope the players feel a bit responsible for things.
"But I think we will see a more upbeat performance and different atmosphere on Saturday.
"The most important relationship at any club is between the players and the fans, and we need to show more spirit and fight to get the crowd behind us."
Bournemouth will welcome defender Nathan Ake back for their trip to Wales.
Ake was ineligible to face parent club Chelsea on Boxing Day but should return to the side following the 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Lewis Cook is still recovering from an ankle problem and Marc Pugh misses out with a hamstring problem.
Manager Eddie Howe has urged the Cherries to bounce back from their defeat against the Premier League leaders.
"The Chelsea game ruined my Christmas," Howe said.
"As always, what's going on with our results dictates my mood and how you enjoy your social time. It obviously didn't ruin it for the kids, but personally, it was a difficult Christmas period.
"The nature of the division is that you're always looking over your shoulder. We also want to look up the league table, because a couple of back-to-back wins can elevate you into a really good position.
"We know this is an important game and a key period for us. We've been a bit inconsistent of late and that is something we've talked about internally.
"We've turned in some good performances, but we need to do that on a more regular basis. With the New Year, that is something we're keen to address."
