Swansea get good news on Kyle Naughton's hamstring injury

Kyle Naughton's hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared but the Swansea defender will still miss the crunch relegation battle at Hull on Saturday.

The former Tottenham defender was injured during last weekend's 3-2 home victory over Burnley.

"Naughton was forced off in the 89th minute of the victory at the Liberty, but scans have confirmed the injury is not as serious as first thought," said a statement on the official Swansea website.

"The right-back will sit out Saturday's trip to Hull City, but is then due to be back on the training pitch in readiness for the following match at Bournemouth (March 18)."

Head coach Paul Clement - who has overseen a Swansea revival by winning five of his eight games in charge - has also had a fitness boost over Ki Sung-yueng and Jefferson Montero.

South Korea midfielder Ki has returned to full training following a knee injury, while Ecuador winger Montero has continued his recovery from a hamstring problem.

The pair could be in contention to feature against Hull, who sit six points adrift of Swansea in 19th place.
