Swansea have been boosted by the news both Garry Monk and Tom Butler are set for a reserve run-out on Wednesday.

Butler has not played in a competitive game for over a year because of a long-term thigh injury but is finally set to step up his fitness in a second-string clash against Bolton. Defender Monk has been hampered by a foot injury but is also set to play on Wednesday as he closes in on a return for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Rodgers has recently handed both players new deals at the Liberty Stadium and will be delighted at their run-out as he looks to get the involved in his senior squad as soon as possible.Butler will not be rushed back too soon such has been his lengthy spell out but Monk will hope to be involved in Premier League action over the next few weeks.
