The 32-year-old replaces outgoing Spaniard Inaki Bergara, who has joined up with former manager Roberton Martinez at Wigan. "This position is something I've been working long and hard to achieve and I'm delighted to be joining Paulo (Sousa) and Swansea City," he told the club's official website. "It's a great opportunity for me to continue working at the top end of Welsh football, especially alongside someone of Paulo Sousa's stature. "When I sat down with Paulo to discuss the position, you could see he had a burning ambition and desire to be successful at Swansea City. "He wants to take the club to another level and I want to support him all the way." Tucker, who started his career as an apprentice goalkeeper at Torquay, will leave his post within the technical department of the Welsh Football Trust to take up the role.
