Swans defender goes under knife
The 30-year-old missed a handful of games during the recent season as a result of the problem.
"The consultant is confident that he will be fine in six week's time and ready for the early part of pre-season training," physio Ritchie Evans told Swansea's official website.
Spanish striker Guillem Bauza has also gone under the knife, having had a minor ankle operation on Friday afternoon.
