Swans boss eyeing new stopper

The Dutch stopper has been offered a new deal to remain at the Liberty Stadium but has so far refused to commit his future to the club with his current contract due to expire next month. "Dorus' contract with us finishes next month and he wanted to take time to look at other options," Martinez told the South Wales Evening Post. "We are in a position where we are doing the same thing. Dorus has been a great servant for this club, he has been very, very reliable, and that's the situation we are in." De Vries expected departure has seen Martinez linked with a number of names, including Scunthorpe's Joe Murphy, Falkirk's Dani Mallo, Birmingham's Colin Doyle, Hamilton's Tomas Cerny and Tom Heaton of Manchester United. "It is such a specific position that (goalkeeping coach) Inaki (Bergara) has been watching a number of targets," Martinez said. "There are five goalkeeping possibles for us and there are many things we need to analyse." Martinez has also ruled out making a bid for Hibernian defender Rob Jones, adding: "We looked at him a couple of seasons back and he is a player with great pedigree, but no."
