Sousa unhappy with Blackpool draw

In a match played mainly in midfield there were very few goalmouth opportunities but those that did come went Swansea's way.[LNB]They were denied a penalty when Craig Beattie was brought down in the first half but despite being in control for long periods the hosts failed to register the goal their play deserved.[LNB]"I'm very disappointed not to win after dominating the match," said Sousa.[LNB]"We have had opportunities in recent matches to score two or three goals but I am happy with only one if we can keep a clean sheet but today we were unable to score.[LNB]"Our mentality is always to win games but sometimes our opponents make it very hard for us.[LNB]"We are working hard on new moves during training so that we can improve our game and the players are becoming used to adapting to different opponents and their styles of play.[LNB]"I thought we should have had a penalty when Craig Beattie was brought down as I had a good view of it but the referee saw it differently.[LNB]"Managers now recognises that we play good football here at Swansea and that is something we are very proud of."[LNB]After only two minutes the Swans could have taken the lead when Darren Pratley burst into the box but his attempted lob was clutched high by Seasiders goalkeeper Matthew Gilks.[LNB]Both sides packed midfield leaving one up front and lone Swansea striker Beattie was prominent at both ends.[LNB]After sending a shot just wide of the Blackpool goal he was back on his own goal line clearing a goalbound effort from under his own crossbar.[LNB]With an hour played both managers began making use of their substitutes and by the 80th minute Swansea had changed their formation to two up front with loan signing Lee Trundle and Gorka Pintado playing down the middle.[LNB]The final 10 minutes was spent in the Blackpool half but despite being under pressure the visitors managed to keep their goal intact.[LNB]Blackpool boss Ian Holloway was delighted with his side's hard-earned point.[LNB]"We earned our point even though our keeper was the busier but if there was only one team going on to win then it probably was Swansea.[LNB]"Some of the decisions made by the referee were a bit finicky because this is a man's game and there were too many free kicks given by a fussy referee.[LNB]"I can't understand why Beattie wasn't booked for falling down in the area because it certainly wasn't a penalty.[LNB]"I was also disappointed that Swansea never gave us the ball back after we put it out of play when a player was injured.[LNB]"They will think they should have had three points while we are going away happy with one."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
