Sousa keen to put Swans on the map
The former Portugal star was named in the Liberty Stadium hot-seat on Tuesday and has already vowed to continue Roberto Martinez's brand of free-flowing football.
He told the South Wales Evening Post: "I want to put this club on the map. I don't just mean England and Wales, I mean the world.
"I think this season coming is going to be the most difficult in the last five or six years because we have a minimum of 10 teams in the Championship looking for promotion.
"There are a lot of teams in the division who are going to spend a lot of money to get promotion - they have already started.
"But I believe in our players, in my club and in the people who work at the club."
