Sousa confirms Webber interest
Webber is available after leaving the Blades at the end of last season and held talks with Middlesbrough earlier in the summer.
The 27-year-old could now be on his way to Swansea as Sousa steps up his bid to improve his attacking options following a disappointing start to the Championship season.
"Yes, yes, yes, yes," said Sousa when asked if he was close to signing a striker.
"There has been movement and Danny Webber is one of the players we are looking at. He is a player we are considering with others."
Sousa has also taken Austrian attacker Besian Idrizaj on trial after the youngster was released by Liverpool at the end of the last campaign.
"Besian came here last week," added Sousa. "I know all about him and he is someone we expect a lot from."
