Saints consider Swans' Dyer bid

The 21-year-old playmaker moved to the Liberty Stadium in January and has played a key role in Swansea's promotion push, scoring four goals in 20 outings for manager Roberto Martinez, who is now keen to make the deal permanent. Sheffield United made an unsuccessful bid of £1.2million for Dyer earlier in the season, although Southampton would probably now be prepared to take a lower price given their precarious financial situation. A spokesman for the Saints said that Swansea's bid for the player "was still under consideration". Although Dyer could not join Swansea permanently until May 3, the guarantee of money coming in could help Southampton convince their creditors that the club has a future.
