Rodgers wants Swans response

Brendan Rodgers has called on his Swansea side to bounce back from their defeat to Bristol City when they take on Middlesbrough. Swansea are smarting after suffering their first home league defeat of the season against the Robins in midweek, a result which saw Rodgers' troops lose ground on Welsh rivals Cardiff in second place. The Swans will nevertheless take heart from their win over the Bluebirds in a typically heated Welsh derby last Sunday, and Rodgers expects his players to attain something like that level of performance on Sunday. "We need a reaction and the reaction this year has always been great," he said. "Middlesbrough will be very tough opponents. They try to play a certain way so that will be another difficult game, as they all are at this level. "We are third in the league and that's been a consequence of our mentality and physicality every single day - we've just got to continue what we're doing. "There's no doubt we will get back on track. We'll put it to bed by Middlesbrough and go and get the three points."
