Rodgers set to utilise squad

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is preparing to rotate his troops over the hectic festive period. The Swans, who are going through an indifferent patch at present, go to leaders QPR on Boxing Day, host Barnsley on December 28 and then Reading on New Year's Day before visiting Leicester on January 3 - four matches in just nine days. "There's absolutely no way the same players can keep performing at the same level physically with so many games in such a short space of time," Rodgers told the South Wales Evening Post. "This is where you are going to see the depth of our squad. "You can't play on a Sunday and then get the same performance on a Tuesday, so there will be changes. "I put my trust in all the players in our squad and these games will give those who haven't been involved as much a chance to stake a claim. "They have been terrific as a group and there are players on the outside of the first team who are capable of coming in and making an impact."
