Rodgers relieved with point

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers saluted his side's character after they grabbed a 1-1 draw at Barnsley. Bobby Hassell thought he had scored the winning goal for the Tykes until Scott Sinclair was fouled in the box by goalkeeper Luke Steele. Sinclair picked himself up to score from the spot and earn Swansea a vital point. Rodgers said: "I am happy with a point after the first-half performance. "We weren't aggressive enough at defending. The reaction of the team in the second half was outstanding. "It was a clear penalty; it was a clearer penalty than the Barnsley goal looked. "I was disappointed at how we defended the corner, it was poor defending. I am happy with the second half; they showed the spirit that there is in that group of players. It's important when you are trying to build a good side that you have that camaraderie in the team. We sorted one or two things out at half-time."
