Manager Brendan Rodgers hailed a "professional performance" after Swansea marched into round four of the FA Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win over Colchester. Garry Monk and Darren Pratley gave the Swans a 2-0 lead at the interval and further strikes from Cedric van der Gun and Scott Sinclair left their npower League One opponents overwhelmed. "We controlled and dominated possession very well and it was a highly professional performance," said Rodgers. "In three of the last six seasons Swansea have gone out at this stage of the FA Cup, so it is great to go through. "That's the most important thing - we're in the draw for the fourth round. I know the fans would like us to have a big cup tie, but I'd be happy with a home draw. "I'm not one of those managers who sees the FA Cup as a distraction. I want to keep winning games to build momentum at the club and I want to go as far as we possibly can in the competition because it offers so many opportunities."
