Rodgers desperate to keep Pratley

Manager Brendan Rodgers is confident Darren Pratley will stay at Swansea despite the midfielder being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest. Rodgers held talks with Pratley and his agent after taking over at the Liberty Stadium last week and is optimistic the player will sign a contract extension. "I have had a couple of really good chats with Darren," Rodgers told the Swansea Evening Post. "He is in the last year of his contract but he is more than happy to be here. "I think everyone understands that if a player has the chance to move to the Premier League they want to go because it's the biggest league in the world. But if you're not going to make a move like that, there's nowhere better to be than here. "I think Darren understands that. He respects where I am coming from and I think he has got a new lease of life. He is enjoying the work we're doing. "He is certainly not rushing to get out and I'm very confident we can do something to keep him here."
