Rangel back for Swans

Swansea will be able to welcome back defender Angel Rangel for the televised clash with Newcastle. The full-back has been out of action with an ankle injury and was close to making the midweek win at Crystal Palace but failed a late test. However, he is now fully fit and available to return to Paulo Sousa's squad. The Swans, who are now six points clear of seventh-placed Sheffield United in the table, did not pick up any fresh injuries at Selhurst Park so Sousa will have the same set of players to choose from. Cedric van der Gun is nearing a return from the hamstring injury that has kept him out since the beginning of January, but the Dutch forward is unlikely to feature against Chris Hughton's men. Striker Craig Beattie will definitely not be involved due to an ankle problem, while defender Albert Serran remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
