Pratley hammer blow hits Swans

Swansea midfielder Darren Pratley is hoping to be back before the end of the season after being forced out of Swansea's 4-1 thrashing of Preston.He lasted just 10 minutes after hurting the AC joint in his shoulder, an injury that needs surgery and is expected to keep him sidelined for up to 10 weeks."I was devastated when it happened," said Pratley, who will have his operation on Thursday."If I can get back playing again this season, I will be buzzing."He added: "I'm getting a screw put in tonight and that's going to be in there for six weeks."When that gets taken out, I've got to get my strength back."Swansea manager Roberto Martinez rued another injury to a player but believes he still has a strong squad."We've lost players in the past. We knew we had to have a squad capable of dealing with those situations," said Martinez.Swansea are already without star midfielder Ferrie Bodde for the rest of the season with a leg injury.The Liberty Stadium side are on a 13-game unbeaten run, pushing for a place in the Championship play-offs and through to a glamour FA Cup fifth-round tie with Fulham.
