Parkinson is hopeful that 50 points would keep the Addicks up, however his bottom-placed side could only manage a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Swansea to leave them with a tally of 27 and everything to do to preserve their status in the second tier.[LNB]Nathan Dyer gave the home side a 41st-minute lead, but the visitors levelled 10 minutes after the break when Nicky Bailey's shot was deflected into the net.[LNB]The result was a blow to Swansea's play-off hopes, and Charlton's performance filled Parkinson with hope for the remaining games.[LNB]"It was a great show from the players and after we equalised we even went looking for the winner," said Parkinson.[LNB]"This team has shown signs that they are capable of going on a run and will have to keep this level of performance up.[LNB]"We have good players and have now gone three games unbeaten and the players are now beginning to show a belief in themselves.[LNB]"We probably need at least 50 points for safety but we will take each match as it comes and see where that takes us."[LNB]Charlton had five players booked in the game, but Parkinson said: "Swansea's players over-reacted to a lot of challenges and the referee never showed us any favours but we didn't deserve so many bookings."[LNB]Swansea manager Roberto Martinez pointed to Charlton's physical approach as the reason so many yellow cards were brandished, and recognised the visitors carried "extra strength" into the match due to their dire situation and desperate need for points.[LNB]Martinez said: "The goal they scored was unfortunate but we showed a good reaction and had two great chances to win the game in the last few minutes.[LNB]"We have to remember that Charlton were well organised throughout the game. They are fighting for survival and that sometimes brings extra strength.[LNB]"The game was full of intensity and we have to realise that we must break down these teams and the fans must also understand this.[LNB]"We kept control in the first half but suffered a little from Charlton's physicality which was shown by the number of yellow cards they received.[LNB]"From now to the end of the season it is not just about having a winning mentality, it is also about physical strength and fitness."[LNB][LNB]
