Nouble ineligible for Swans

Boss Brendan Rodgers will make changes to his Swansea XI for the trip to Peterborough but will still field a strong side with a place in the fourth round of the Carling Cup at stake. On-loan West Ham striker Frank Nouble, who made his debut in Saturday`s 2-0 win over Scunthorpe, is ineligible to feature as the Hammers do not want to see him cup-tied. That means Stephen Dobbie is likely to start up front having replaced Nouble after 65 minutes at the weekend before duly getting on the scoresheet to wrap up the three points. Other possible changes include a first appearance for goalkeeper Yves Makabu-Makalambay after his arrival on Monday, providing Dorus De Vries with a rest at London Road. Rodgers will be unable to call upon any of his injured quintet of Craig Beattie (calf), Gorka Pintado (shoulder), Angel Rangel (thigh), Ferrie Bodde (knee) and Tom Butler (thigh), although Rangel is not far off a return. The Swans face three away games in the space of a week, with league trips to Nottingham Forest and Watford coming after the cup tie.
