No regrets for new Swans signing

The 21-year-old winger moved to the Liberty Stadium from Southampton on Tuesday after a successful loan spell, but may not have the chance to play under Martinez again. The Spaniard is wanted by Celtic and Wigan and is meeting club chairman Huw Jenkins on Thursday morning to discuss his future and although Dyer hopes he stays, he is happy to be in Wales regardless. "I don't know what will happen but, even if Roberto goes, I still want to be a Swansea City player," he told the Western Mail. "He wasn't the only reason I joined. "Obviously I hope Roberto is going to be there next season, though. He was one of the main reasons I joined so of course I want him to stay. He has done a brilliant job and is a great manager to work with." Dyer claims he has not had specific assurances that Martinez will stay and has joined team-mates Garry Monk and Stephen Dobbie in pleading with the 35-year-old to stay. "When I agreed to sign it wasn't an issue," he added. "Things have escalated since then and I just hope he stays."
