The 28-year-old midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Swans to become new manager Paulo Sousa's first signing, rekindling the relationship the pair enjoyed at QPR last season. "I will take things step by step and hopefully help Swansea do well," he told the club's official website. "Paulo played a big part in my decision to accept Swansea's offer and sign the deal. "After a difficult year for me, the way he treats his players will help me get back to my best. "I want to get back to the level I reached in Spain and I hope the Swansea fans get to see me at my best." Lopez watched his new team-mates beat Neath 6-1 in a friendly on Monday night. New signing Stephen Dobbie scored twice while there were also goals for Andrea Orlandi, Chad Bond, Guillem Bauza and Matty Collins.
