Swansea manager Garry Monk says he wants to keep the momentum going when his unbeaten team host League Two opponents York City in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
The Swans have made an impressive start to the new campaign, with draws against Chelsea and Sunderland sandwiching a comfortable home victory over Newcastle.
And while Monk can be expected to make wholesale changes for York's Liberty Stadium visit - the Minstermen are 80 league places below Swansea - it is another important game ahead of next Sunday's appointment with Manchester United.
"There is a lot of work to do with the group, but we are progressing nicely," Monk told www.southwales-eveningpost.co.uk.
"The squad is good. The way we are playing and the commitment they show every day is what I want. I am excited by this group - I'm excited working with them and producing football like we've been doing since the start of the season.
"Hopefully, we can continue that and improve it throughout the season.
"It's important to get the points on the board as soon as possible. We are a little disappointed not to have three from Sunderland, but it's one point and it's better than none and we are going in the right way.
"We want to keep the momentum going. Our focus is on progressing, keeping the club growing, the squad growing and the quality of the football growing."
York have not beaten top-flight opposition since they knocked Everton out of the League Cup in 1996, but manager Russ Wilcox is undaunted by the challenge that awaits his players in south Wales.
"Shocks do happen, and I've experienced both sides. We will go there with no fear, and the surroundings should inspire us," Wilcox told www.york.press.co.uk.
"I am really looking forward to standing in the technical area at a Premier League ground and everybody expects us to get turned over, so we will be under no pressure. But there are always one or two upsets, so let's make sure it is York's turn."
