Monk keen for Trundle to stay

Manager Paulo Sousa admits he is keen to extend the 33-year-old's spell at the club, and skipper Monk, who also played with Trundle during the striker's first spell at the club, says it would be nothing less than he deserves.[LNB]"Everyone knows Trunds is a legend at this club - but he's had to start with a clean slate," he told the Western Mail. "He's come here on loan and made no bones about the fact he wants to stay - and I think he's done everything asked of him.[LNB]"He's got five goals and you can't knock that, especially when most of his appearances have come off the subs bench.[LNB]"But I think just as important is the work he's put in since he's come back. He's fitting straight into what we're trying to do as a squad and he's definitely got that hunger to do well.[LNB]"He's slimmed down a lot and he's probably the fittest I've ever seen him - you can see he really wants it and, if it does get agreed for him to stay on, then it's deserved."[LNB][LNB]
