Martinez: Swans needed a break

The Swans have used the two-week break to take time away from the training ground and recharge their batteries ahead of a final push for a top-six finish. Martinez's men have not won any of their last three matches and sit five points behind sixth-placed Cardiff, who they visit on Sunday. "You can see the players really needed the break. It's good to have a little bit of a break to see where we are and where we go," the Spaniard told Swansea's official site. "Mentally, we needed it and I think it will give us a different outlook. Physically the boys are looking sharp and lively. "We are in a very good position and excited about the next few performances. The players are ready to focus on their performance again and they know that if they do that they will get the rewards."
