Martinez keen to rekindle partnership
That is the view of manager Roberto Martinez who has moved to sign Dobbie from Queen of the South, rekindling the partnership the pair enjoyed during their time at St Johnstone.
"You are talking about two players who understand each other fantastically well," Martinez told the South Wales Evening Post.
"They were together at St Johnstone and know each other really well.
"I have seen a couple of DVDs and they looked to have a great understanding then. We hope to rekindle that and polish it."
Dobbie, who topped the goalscoring charts in the Scottish Football League this season, will sign a three-year deal with Swansea on Friday when his deal with Queens expires.
