Leon Britton hails Swansea's attacking threat

Leon Britton has hailed the attacking threat of Swansea's front four as the Welsh club look to extend their good recent form against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

The 3-1 win over West Brom on Wednesday was characterised by the manner in which Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge, Pablo Hernandez and top scorer Michu terrorised the visiting defence.

And Britton had nothing but praise for the quartet, saying: "They did brilliantly. All three lads behind Michu were brilliant. Wayne took to the role really well and got two goals, but all three were a constant threat with Michu at the top as well; the front four were on fire all together and looking great going forward."

He went on: "They have so much confidence in their ability to beat their man and the guys behind them are there to make sure that there's no pressure if it doesn't come off.

"Confidence has been growing over the last few weeks and it's showing in our performances now."

The win also moved Swansea on to 20 points, halfway to the common survival target of 40, before the end of November and has them on course to secure a third season of top-flight football.

Britton added: "We're happy to get there by the end of November when last year took us to New Year's Eve after a slow start.

"To do it before December shows we're well on course and is an achievement in itself."
